Dear CRA Member,

Further to the email sent a few days ago about the WANDGAS application for floodlighting many residents have expressed objections and so please note that our Councillor George Crawford is leading the fight on this and has advised the following for those wishing to lodge their objections:-
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR COUNCILLOR MR. GEORGE CRAWFORD.

THANK YOU FOR CIRCULATING DETAILS OF THE PROPOSED WANGAS PRACTICE PITCH. I AM ACTING AS THE LEAD COUNCILLOR FOR CUDDINGTON ON THE MATTER AND HAVE LOOKED AT THE ISSUES. I HAVE CONCLUDED THAT RESIDENTS CAN OBJECT TO THE CONSTRUCTION ON THE FOLLOWING GROUNDS :-
(1) ADJOINING RESIDENTS WILL SUFFER UNREASONABLE INCREASE IN AMBIENT REFLECTIVE GLARE FROM FLOODLIGHTS.
(2) THE PROPOSED USE IS UNSUITABLE ONE FOR THE AREA.
(3) THERE WILL BE AN UNREASONABLE INCREASE IN GENERAL DISTURBANCE FROM BOTH THOSE USING THE PRACTICE PITCH( WHICH DOES NOT HAPPEN AT PRESENR) AND THE COMINGS AND GOINGS OF EXTRA TRAFFIC.
(4) THERE WILL BE AN INCREASED DANGER TO ROAD USERS WHO MAY BE DAZZLED BY THE INCREASED LIGHTING IN WHAT IS ALREADY A DANGEROUS ROAD.
(5) THERE IS A REAL CHANCE THAT IF CONSTRUCTED THERE WILL BE A LOSS OF TREES.
I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD CIRCULATE THIS INFORMATION THROUGH THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH.
BEST WISHES

GEORGE

Wandgas
Dear CRA Member,

I have received the following note from one of our members. In view of the effect this application could have on the neighbourhood I am forwarding to you in case you may wish to send comment to the Council or notify your local Councillor.
John
Wandgas have put in another planning application for floodlights and an astroturf practice pitch with 5m high perimeter fence, full details can be found at www.epsom-ewell.gov.uk ref 12/00350/FUL
If possible please pass onto all residents registered with you so they have a chance to comment. (we had a problem last time with the application only being advised by post to a handful or residents).
Please note that if commenting via the website you must register 1st – this is very quick.
Thank you
Anna
Neighbours comment.
Dear Benny

Will you let us know what the latest info on the Wandgas as I am not sure whether everyone is aware the effect of the noise and lighting will have on us all.

Regards

NEW UPDATE FROM PC DAN DOHERTY
Thursday 2nd August 2012.

Dear Neighbourhood Coordinators
For those of you that have not heard any more information regarding the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.
Apologies for the delay due to the arrival of door stickers and new Neighbourhood Watch Signs.
At present your Neighbourhood team have signed upto 90% of all the streets in the Stoneleigh, Auriol, Cuddington and a small part of Ewell Court wards.
Once all streets have been completed we will be sending you an email to inform you of a meeting for all the Neighbourhood Coordinators. At this meeting we will explain Neighbourhood Watch in more detail and any questions you may have.
Can I stress to all of you that you are there to forward emails to neighbours in your street. You are not there to take crime enquires, any reports like this please ask them to call them through to the 101 Non emergency Surrey Police phone number or 999 if it is an emergency.
We appreciate all the work you do and do not want to burden you with neighbourhood disputes etc.
If you need to speak to me please ring me on my mobile number - 07967 98 6452 or the Neighbourhood Team Borough phone number 01372 541511
Thankyou all once again.
Kind Regards
PC Dan Doherty
